Mackinac Island Michigan Aug 19

Up early out of Marquette Island and Stephanie took this early morning shot.

Everyone did some house cleaning.

As we entered the harbour we had these views of Mackinaw Island aka Mackinac Island. This was Debra’s favourite port of call.

The island’s famous Grand Hotel.

This is a former religious college and now the Mission Point Hotel.

At 11 AM we tied up Mackinac Island State Harbour as we managed to make a reservation online the day before. This was the view off Cherish from our slip.  The buildings above are the old fort.

Mark and Debra rented bicycles and went for a ride around the entire island. Stephanie and Currie walked around the island and took this picture from the hill looking out over the habour. Cherish is on the bottom left and the second boat in, beside the sailboat.

The Grand Hotel.

The island does not allow any cars so all transportation is bicycle or horse. Honestly, this is a busy policeman about to move this bicycle out of the yellow no parking zone.

The hoses are lovely.

As are the flowers.

In the morning Mark and Currie went for a bicycle ride and captured this quiet shot.
